Pichavaram Mangrove forest
Pichavaram Mangrove Forest is situated 14 km from Chidambaram in Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu. Pichavaram is one of the worlds largest mangrove forests. Pichavaram the second largest Mangrove forest in the world. The area is about 2800 acres and is separated from the sea by a sand bar which is a patch of extraordinary loveliness. Very few people know of the existence of these places as far less even visit them.
Neyveli Lignite Mining
Neyveli Lignite Mining, this is Asia's largest open mine. This is well known as Neyveli Lignite Corporation. Neyveli is a well-planned townships in India. Neyveli can be termed as one of the modern industrial townships of India. It is a good place for tourism, with tourist interests being the Afforestaion complex and mining sites. However permission to visit these places is selective.
